Reports from Italy have revealed that a floor in a former Tuscan convent, which was hosting a wedding reception, collapsed, resulting in injuries to 30 individuals.

Tuscany’s regional governor Eugenio Giani stated that five of the injured were in critical condition following the collapse at the 15th-century building near Pistoia, north of Florence.

According to Italian media, around 60 people were dancing in the first-floor room when the floor gave way, causing them to fall into the room below.

Over 100 emergency workers, including fire service members, police, and the civil protection agency, were involved in providing assistance at the scene, as announced by Giani on Telegram.

Fortunately, no one was reported missing as a result of the incident.

Authorities have not yet determined the cause of the collapse.
