Criminal Justice is a captivating crime thriller and legal drama series in Hindi, produced for Hotstar Specials. It is an adaptation of the acclaimed 2008 British TV show of the same name. The Indian version is written by Shridhar Raghavan and directed by Tigmanshu Dhulia and Vishal Furia.

Despite this, Lekha, the defense lawyer, manipulates the situation to divert Madhav Mishra’s attention.

The storyline transitions to Aditya’s prison life, drawing parallels to the acclaimed film “The Shawshank Redemption.” Aditya adjusts to the prison dynamics, aligning with Mustafa (Jackie Shroff) and his faction for protection. The prison hierarchy is split between Mustafa’s group and Layak Talukdar’s (Dibyendu Bhattacharya) faction. Aditya faces challenges, including a wrongful accusation of drug trafficking leading to a year’s solitary confinement. Eventually, he rebels against Layak and becomes a crucial member of Mustafa’s group.

Concurrently, Nikhat and Madhav collaborate to delve deeper into the case, unearthing startling revelations about Sanaya’s ties to a drug rehabilitation center, LDFR, run by Naresh Lakani and his spouse Kanika Lakani. Pallavi, a former LDFR employee, discloses Naresh’s involvement in a child trafficking ring, incriminating Kanika in orchestrating Sanaya’s murder.

In the climactic sequences, Aditya faces Layak, but before he can act, Mustafa intervenes, ultimately neutralizing Layak. Subsequently, Aditya is exonerated, emerging from prison as a transformed and resilient individual.
