Reports suggest that actress Cameron Diaz’s comeback film has hit a roadblock, as co-star Jamie Foxx has alerted law enforcement about an attempted theft of £33,000 from him.
Allegedly, production of the high-budget Netflix movie, Back In Action, has been put on hold while an investigation was conducted, leading to the dismissal of a staff member.
It is reported that the police were alerted to the incident, with suspicions that the same individual might be connected to previous efforts to extort large sums of money from prominent figures.
A source informed The Sun, ‘This film has been quite a nightmare.”
‘There have been numerous delays, especially due to filming outdoors in London during winter, but the latest issue is more sinister.’
‘One staff member has been dismissed, and there are ongoing investigations after an attempt was made to access £33,000 in cash from Jamie Foxx.
‘It appears that there was an attempt to offer a Rolex watch as part of the deal, but now there’s an inquiry into all ongoing activities. People will be relieved when this project finally concludes.’
After it was revealed that Cameron Diaz might not return to Hollywood for a future project, due to struggling with extended work hours that keep her apart from her husband Benji Madden and their three-year-old daughter, Raddix.
In 2018, she officially retired from her Hollywood career, only to be persuaded back by her close friend Jamie to co-star in the action comedy Back In Action.
However, her comeback project encountered turmoil when reports emerged of Jamie having a significant outburst on the UK set, resulting in the termination of three individuals.
A source close to the star has now disclosed that while she doesn’t hold any issues with Jamie, she is unlikely to venture back into the film industry after completing the project, due to the strenuous separation from her family.
According to a close associate, ‘These consecutive 10-hour workdays have been taxing on her, and she despises being distant from Raddix.’ The friend added, ‘Cameron prioritizes motherhood over everything else in the world.’
