Following her release from prison, the woman who became famous for her eerie resemblance to a “zombie” Angelina Jolie has revealed her true face to the public for the first time.

Iranian Sahar Tabar, who was arrested in October 2019 on charges of “corruption” and “blasphemy”, served 14 months of a 10-year prison sentence before being released due to public unrest.

In a television interview, she unveiled her real face and admitted that the spooky photos of her resembling Angelina Jolie were manipulated and not a true representation of her appearance.

22-year-old Fatemeh Khishvand, also known as Sahar Tabar, confessed that the images were the result of skilled computer editing and not cosmetic surgery.

She clarified that the haunting appearance was achieved through digital effects, and she expressed her desire for fame from a young age, stating: “Cyberspace was an easy way. It was much easier than becoming an actor.”

However, following her prison release, she indicated that she may refrain from using Instagram in the future, saying: “I’m sure I will not even put Instagram on my phone anymore, let alone have a page.”
