The actor and writer Alejandro Ciangherotti was born in 1903 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He married Mercedes Soler (Mercedes Díaz Pavía), the youngest of the Soler brothers dynasty, with whom he had three children: Alejandro Ciangherotti II, Fernando Luján and Mercedes Ciangherotti de Gomar. He toured several countries with his family, due to his tours, until they finally settled in Mexico.

He was part of the actors of the golden age of Mexican cinema. He debuted in 1926 with the film El corazón de la gloria and from there he participated in many films such as Una carta de amor (1943), Los tres huastecos (1948), Rosa Blanca (1961), La insatiable (1947) and El extra ( 1962), among many others.
He also made some soap operas such as Los Misérables , Mi Rival, Muñeca, El Derecho de los Hijos and La Doubt , among others.

In addition to being a fundamental part of Mexican golden cinema, Alejandro lent his voice to different characters in programs such as Batman, My Favorite Martian, Bewitched, Super Agent 86, The Jetsons and The Flintstones , among others. In 1973 he married Margarita Díaz Mora and two years later he died in Mexico City, on August 29, 1975.
