American businesswoman and television personality, Martha Stewart made a surprising revelation during her appearance on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” on Thursday, January 20.

The 80-year-old entrepreneur claimed she had been struck by lightning three times and believes it has made her stronger.

Her revelation took place during a segment called “Two Truths and a Lie,” where guests share three statements about themselves, and the host guesses which one is true.

Stewart challenged DeGeneres to guess whether she had been hit by lightning three times, whether she was going to be on the next season of the ABC game show “Shark Tank,” or whether she once did a headstand on DeGeneres’ show, which is in its 19th and final season.

To Ellen’s surprise, the false story was Stewart joining the cast of “Shark Tank.”

“I can’t believe that — you’ve been struck by lightning three times?” Ellen exclaimed.

“If it doesn’t kill you, I think it’s good for you,” Stewart responded.

DeGeneres noted that it’s a big “if” and asked Stewart to describe how such an experience feels.

Stewart described being struck by lightning as “awful” and recounted the first two incidents. The first time, she was leaning against an iron sink in her home when a lightning bolt hit a pipe in her garden, sending electricity into her home and knocking her to the floor. The second encounter also happened at home, when a lightning bolt came through a skylight and zapped her. The details of the third incident remain unclear.

“I just attract electricity,” Stewart claimed. “I’m so powerful.”

She surprised the host again by revealing that she had once done a headstand on DeGeneres’ show and that there was video evidence to prove it.
