Arianna Huffington: early life, education and career
Arianna Huffington was born on July 15, 1950 in Athens, Greece, which makes her Greek. She was born to her Greek parents, her father Konstantinos, a journalist and management consultant and her mother Elli Stasinopoulou. Arianna herself also has a sister named Agapi who is also an author, speaker, and performer. At the age of 16, Arianna moved to the UK to study economics at Girton University.
During the 1970s, Arianna, with the help of Bernard Levin, a British writer, began writing books. Bernard and Arianna became very close and developed a relationship. The two traveled together to music festivals around the world as a job assignment for the BBC. Levin mentored and helped her in her writing career, however the two had to part ways eventually as Arianna wanted to settle down and start a family, but Levin never wanted one of her own. After this, Arianna moved to New York, where she co-hosted a show called Saturday Night At The Mill, along with Bob Langley.

Arianna has written several books and has contributed to various prestigious websites as a columnist throughout her career. In the year 1973, she wrote a book with the title, The Feminine Woman. The book was critical on the subject of the liberal women’s movement. Along with that, Huffington has also worked for the media for most of her life.
