In the Red Devils’ Premier League 3-0 loss to Bournemouth on Saturday, Arsenal legend Ian Wright criticized Manchester United defender Diogo Dalot for not passing to Rasmus Hojlund when given the opportunity.

Dalot, who was played in by Antony in the 67th minute, decided to take a shot from a tight angle instead of setting up Hojlund, who was in a favorable central position to score.

Hojlund, who is yet to score his first league goal, would have had an easy close-range finish if he received the ball from Dalot.

Instead of assisting Hojlund, Dalot fired the ball into the side netting.

Speaking on Match of the Day, Wright criticized Dalot’s decision, calling it a display of disrespect towards Hojlund.

Wright expressed his disappointment, stating, “It was for me, when I saw that it was Dalot, and at 1-0, we are talking about Hojlund’s come on now and he wants his chance.”

He further added, “This is good play from them. He gets in, he’s got to square this. He’s got to square it to him.”

Wright emphasized, “I think the total lack of respect for him. Look, he’s had a shot from the most ridiculous angle.”

He concluded, “He’s upset with himself. But he doesn’t even look for Hojlund, has a ridiculous shot. And Bournemouth score a minute later. Hojlund, he’s got to be pulling him up in the dressing room about that.”
