Fashion company Balenciaga has withdrawn a current advertisement featuring children with sexualized teddy bears, but not quickly enough to avoid incurring the anger of customers and also potential customers. The company also allocated an apology for the ads, which show two young girls posing with teddy bears that seem to be modeling BDSM-style tackles. In one photo, one of the girls posed on a pink-colored bed, taking one of the plush bear bags, surrounded by other purses and accessories that appear to be a chain leash and a Balenciaga engraved dog collar choker. "We frankly apologize for any crime our holiday campaign may have generated. Our plush bear bags should not include been featured with children in this movement. We have instantly removed the campaign from all platforms," the apology posted on its Instagram page read in part.
