Police are on scene at a popular Sydney beach after a body was found in the shallows.
The body of a man was found in shallow water at North Cronulla Beach early on Thursday morning, a NSW Police spokesperson told news.com.au.
The body was reported to police at about 6:30am.

An investigation is open and initial inquiries suggest the incident was self-harm related, the spokesperson said.
Police are currently at the scene.
