At the age of 22, Brazilian actress and model Isis Freitas passed away after being rushed to the hospital in a serious condition.
Isis Freitas passed away on Sunday, November 12, and was laid to rest at the Sao Francisco Xavier Cemetery in Rio de Janeiro the following day.
The cause of her death has not been disclosed, but there are reports on social media suggesting that she succumbed to tuberculosis, as per Brazilian media.
Her talent agency, LMA Producoes, confirmed her passing on social media, expressing their condolences and sorrow for the loss.
‘In sorrow, we inform you of the passing of our actress and comrade Isis Freitas. Our deepest condolences to all her friends and family. We stand together in support during this irreparable loss.’
Freitas began her career as a model and went on to become an actress, featuring in numerous plays and ads for cosmetic brands.
Prominent figures in the Brazilian entertainment industry mourned her passing on various online platforms. Actress Larissa Manoela, influencer Lucas Neto, and soap opera actor Matheus Dias paid tribute to Freitas.
Manoela expressed her shock and offered her condolences, saying, “Still in shock about your departure. Young girl, very sweet, talented, and affectionate. Rest in peace, Isis! My condolences to the entire family.”
Dias paid homage to her with heartfelt words, “Rest, my friend! Love you forever. She was a great sight, with a smile that reached the front, a laugh that was good to hear, a sweet voice and so beautiful.”
He continued, “And now you leave the scene, without goodbyes on a sunny day as beautiful as you. Holy s***, it’s f***ed up, it hurts.”
