After a goalless draw with Manchester United, Jamie Carragher, a legendary figure at Liverpool, has dismissed the team’s chances of clinching the Premier League title.
Prior to the Anfield clash, the Reds were overtaken at the top of the table by Arsenal. Unfortunately, Jurgen Klopp’s side was unable to secure a victory that would have seen them reclaim the top spot.
Carragher, speaking on Sky Sports, suggested that Liverpool’s success has been largely down to luck thus far.
He expressed his skepticism, stating, “I don’t think Liverpool are going to win the league. From what I’ve seen in terms of performance wise, it feels like they’ve had a little bit of luck this season – they had bad luck in the Tottenham game of course – but in terms of someone coming off the bench and winning games late, I’m not sure you can continue to do that,” Carragher said.
