Aribo was on target as Southampton secured an emphatic 5-0 victory over Swansea City in the Sky Bet Championship clash at St Mary’s Stadium.
The floodgates opened in the 17th minute, with Joe Aribo netting the opening goal, marking his first goal for Southampton this season and his first in 2023. The 27-year-old has been a regular presence for Russell Martin’s side, making 18 league appearances and playing the full 90 minutes in the game.
In addition to Aribo’s goal, Ryan Fraser scored a brace, while Sam Edozie and Che Adams also found the back of the net for Southampton.
The result propelled Southampton to third place in the table.
