Pat Nevin, a Chelsea legend, has recommended that the Blues, with Todd Boehly at the helm, should secure the services of Nigerian attacker Victor Osimhen from Napoli in order to solve their striker problems.

According to Nevin, Boehly should also contemplate selling Mykhailo Mudryk to finance the acquisition of Osimhen.

“Chelsea has acquired some of the finest strikers in history during the last couple of decades, often without success,” Nevin informed BestGamblingSites.

“Strikers always come with a hefty price tag, and Chelsea has already invested a fortune in players who did not consistently justify the fee. They would have to make an even greater expenditure to secure a top-tier striker.

“I identified Victor Osimhen as the go-to man a few years ago, and I still hold that belief. I anticipate he will be the primary target for Chelsea.”

He further remarked, “Numerous teams would be interested in Mudryk! I’m not proposing that Chelsea should part ways with him, but they will need to offload a player if they aspire to bring in a striker of Osimhen’s caliber.”

Osimhen delivered an impressive performance for Napoli last season, contributing to their triumph in the Serie A.
