The chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Ola Olukoyede, has called for continued support from stakeholders in the fight against corruption in Nigeria. In a Christmas message issued on Monday, Olukoyede emphasized the significance of stakeholders’ unwavering support in addressing corruption and advancing the nation. He highlighted that relying solely on the Commission to combat economic and financial crimes may not lead to the desired outcomes, whereas involving stakeholders and the public could have a substantial impact.
Olukoyede expressed gratitude for the stakeholders’ dedication, commitment, and loyalty to the cause and mission of the EFCC, acknowledging their pivotal role in the fight against economic and financial crimes. He encouraged them to perceive themselves as crucial contributors to the cause and emphasized that their consistent support is essential for the nation’s progress.
The EFCC chairman concluded by urging for unified progress, stating that although walking alone might result in faster progress, joining forces leads to greater strength and advancement.
