The agent of Cristiano Ronaldo, Jorge Mendes, has reportedly offered the Manchester United striker to Barcelona in LaLiga, as per reports from Spain.

Ronaldo shocked Manchester United by expressing his desire to leave the club in order to continue competing in the Champions League.

During the weekend, the 37-year-old was absent from the start of Manchester United’s pre-season, stating family reasons, and was seen at Portugal’s training center in Lisbon.

Apart from being linked with a move to Chelsea, Ronaldo has also been offered to Barcelona by his representative during a dinner with the club’s president, Joan Laporta.

Barcelona reportedly attempted to sign Ronaldo last summer, but financial constraints prevented them from making a serious approach.

It has been suggested that Barcelona’s interest in Ronaldo could be a tactic to pressure Bayern Munich with regards to the sale of Robert Lewandowski.

The discussions between the parties also reportedly included the potential signings of Wolves midfielder Ruben Neves, AC Milan’s Rafa Leao, and Manchester City’s Bernardo Silva.

After returning to Manchester United from Juventus last summer, Ronaldo’s 24 goals in 38 games couldn’t prevent the team from having a poor Premier League campaign.

Upon his return to the club, Ronaldo is expected to hold talks with the new manager, Erik ten Hag.
