In a statement issued by his Media Adviser, Paul Mumeh in Kano on Tuesday, David Mark, former Senate President, urged President Bola Tinubu to review the country’s security architecture to make it more proactive and strategic in addressing challenges.
Highlighting the need for a review, Mark emphasized that it would help in identifying loopholes and devising effective measures to put an end to insecurity.
He specifically mentioned the recent Plateau incidents, where numerous citizens were massacred, as a wakeup call for urgent attention to the security challenge.
Mark suggested declaring an emergency on security, emphasizing that any significant action taken to stop the continued killing of citizens would be worthwhile.
Furthermore, he called on the Federal Government and security agencies to intensify their efforts, noting that the value of life in Nigeria has significantly depreciated.
