Ehud Arye Laniado was a Belgian-Israeli billionaire diamond dealer. He was popular as one of the world’s top diamond valuation experts. Laniado was born in 1954 in Tel Aviv, Israel. Ehud Arye Laniado worked as a masseur before finding his fortune in Africa and cultivating an eye for precious gems. He founded Omega Diamonds in Antwerp, Belgium, where he became a citizen; he became one of the world’s foremost experts on the valuation of rough diamonds. The businessman would become a billionaire, buying Monaco’s most luxurious penthouse for $39.4 million and a house in Bel Air, California, where he enjoyed drinking with celebrities at Chateau Margaux. In 2014 he sold the world’s most valuable diamond, Josephine’s Blue Moon, for $48.4 million to a Hong Kong businessman.

He always felt uncomfortable about his short stature and appearance. In addition, people called him “the Argentine” because he resembled a tango dancer. Furthermore, he got into trouble in 2013 for smuggling diamonds from the Congo and Angola, and by paying a fine he avoided a tax evasion jury. He was later accused of lying to the Belgian authorities. Also, the court expected him to attend on March 14, 2019, but he died at the age of 65.

People regard Laniado as a rare gem industry, blessed with being able to manage the diamond industry in unique ways. However, the authorities charged him several times with tax offenses and theft in mainland Africa.

Laniado was undergoing expert penis enlargement surgery at a posh Parisian clinic, but had a heart attack during the procedure. Sources claim that he died on the operating table. According to Belgian media, Laniado has not adapted well to a substance that was injected into his penis. His vital signs failed after the injection of this drug, and he was brought to death.
His company has issued a statement confirming his death. At news of his death, Laniado’s plastic surgeon, reportedly located on Avenue des Champs-Elysees in Paris, France, remains unknown.
