The Akwa Ibom State Police Command has apprehended Felix Anietie Udoh, a fraudulent engineer responsible for constructing a four-storey building that caved in last year, resulting in the death of one person and causing severe injuries to five others.
During a press briefing at the police headquarters in Ikot Akpsn Abia, Uyo, on Wednesday, August 30, 2023, the state Commissioner of Police, CP Olatoye Durosinmi, revealed this information.
“On the 17th of September 2022, a four-storey building located at No. 3 Iman Street, behind Zenith bank off Aka road, Uyo, collapsed, resulting in the tragic death of Favour Chukwuemeka Okoro ‘m’, and the rescue of five individuals,” stated the CP.
“The alleged site Engineer, Felix Anietie Udoh of Felixzity High Technology Limited, fled. The suspect was apprehended by the Anti-Robbery Squad of the Command on 7/8/2023. During interrogation, the suspect admitted to not being an Engineer but rather a builder.”
