Alex Iwobi’s transfer from Everton to Fulham has been questioned by former Arsenal forward, Ian Wright.

On transfer deadline day, Iwobi ended his four-year association with Everton and joined Fulham.

The 27-year-old initially struggled at Goodison Park but eventually became an integral part of the team.

Last season, the versatile midfielder played in all 38 Premier League games for Everton, contributing seven assists and two goals.

Iwobi was also named Everton’s Player of the Season.

Wright believes that Everton made a mistake by selling their most creative player.

“Everton have sold, in my opinion, their best creative player in the last couple of seasons in Iwobi,” Wright said in an interview on Premier League Productions.

“And they sold him to Fulham. This is the level they have dropped to.

“I am not disrespecting Fulham. We are talking about Rooney to Manchester United, talking about big players, and even Arteta going to Arsenal.” [sic].
