In the aftermath of Everton’s 4-0 defeat to Aston Villa on Sunday, manager Sean Dyche has indicated that Alex Iwobi may be out of action for a period of time due to an injury he sustained during the match.
In the 56th minute of the game, Neal Maupay replaced Iwobi on the field.
The severity of the injury will be determined through a test that is scheduled for Monday.
Dyche mentioned that it is unlikely that the former Arsenal player will make a speedy recovery.
“We are awaiting news on Alex, but it seems to be a hamstring injury. As for Dom, we are hoping it’s merely a knock,” Dyche informed reporters after the game.
“Hamstring injuries usually take some time to calm down, so it is probable that he will be out, but I cannot provide a definite answer just yet,” he added.
