Former Nigerian President, Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, has called on African youth to take inspiration from Dr. Stanley Uzochukwu, the owner of the luxury brand, ‘The Delborough Lagos’.

Jonathan made this call during the grand opening of ‘The Delborough Lagos’ in Victoria Island, Lagos, Nigeria, on Saturday.

During his remarks, Jonathan reflected on his previous encounters with Stanley, stating, “Stanley came to see me when I was president. When he shared his vision with me, I told him: young man, with this vision of yours, I want to make young Nigerians billionaires and you should be one of them.

He praised Stanley’s commitment to his vision and commended his efforts by stating, “Stanley, you have done well! I appreciate what you’re doing. You are a good example of what we want our young men and women to do.”

Jonathan emphasized the potential of young people, highlighting, “The economy today is not one where you have to use your muscle but your brain. If you think positively, you can become the richest person in the world today. The multi-billionaires today in the world are below 40 and 45 years old.”

Encouraging the youth, Jonathan stressed, “The brain and level of intelligence that is making you resort to dubious ways to make money can also make you earn money positively and lead a happy life in a decent society.”

He urged the youth to emulate Stanley Uzochukwu’s example, emphasizing the importance of contributing positively to society and creating opportunities for others.
