Gunmen have assassinated a couple in Allen Avenue, Ikeja area of Lagos State. The victims, Engineer Femi Egbeoluwa, the Sogunro of Ilaro-Yewa in Ogun State, and his wife, were murdered in their home at 1 Adefolu drive, near New World Hotel, Allen Avenue.
The killers gained entrance into their home and left the couple dead while their domestic staff was found injured. A police source confirmed the incident, stating that the house help is currently receiving medical treatment.
The spokesperson of the State Police Command also confirmed the incident and mentioned that the investigation is ongoing. The case has been transferred to the homicide section of the state Criminal Investigation Department, Panti, Yaba.
Late Egbeoluwa was the Permanent Secretary of the then Bureau of Transportation during the Otunba Gbenga Daniel led-administration in Ogun State.
