Harry Lee Palmer Obituary, Death –  The community of Leesburg is grieving the loss of Harry Lee Palmer, who peacefully departed this world at the age of 83 on February 12, 2024. Funeral services to honor his life will be held on Monday, February 12, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Willis-Jamerson-Braswell Funeral Home. Reverend Andrew Kornegay will officiate, and interment will follow at Mt. Olive Church Cemetery.

A Legacy of Service and Dedication

Harry Lee Palmer, born on August 3, 1940, in Meigs, was the son of the late David Nathaniel and Ethel Lee Ott Palmer. Throughout his life, he embodied the values of service, both to his country and his community. Harry proudly served in the United States Air Force, contributing to the defense of his nation. Following his military service, he became a respected supervisor of printing for the Federal State Inspection Service, leaving an indelible mark on his profession.

Cherished Family Ties

In addition to his loving wife, Harry is survived by his son, Wesley Nathaniel Palmer, and daughter, Annza Palmer Reed (Bobby Gerald). His grandchildren, Brooke Elizabeth Forrister and Grayson Tucker Reed, both of Leesburg, and Rachel Reed Yoder (Nathan Yoder, Jr.) of Montezuma, were a source of immense pride and joy. Harry’s great-grandchildren, Liam Elijah Hall of Tallahassee, Atlas Tyrion Hall of Dawson, and Thea Elise Hall of Leesburg, brought an extra sparkle to his eyes.

The family will receive friends on Monday, February 12, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Willis-Jamerson-Braswell Funeral Home, Pelham. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, reflecting Harry’s compassionate nature and concern for the well-being of others.
