The Inspector-General of Police, IGP, Kayode Egbetokun, has called for a meeting with all Deputy Inspectors General of Police, DIGs, Assistant Inspectors General of Police, Commissioners of Police, CPs, and other top commanders in the force. The meeting is scheduled to take place on Monday at the Force Headquarters in Abuja. This decision is crucial to enhancing security during the yuletide season.

According to a statement by the Force spokesman, Ademuyiwa Adejobi, the meeting aims to address various security issues and review the police’s anti-crime strategies to ensure efficiency and effectiveness in maintaining peace and order in the country. During the meeting, the IGP is expected to highlight the accomplishments of the police over the past 10 weeks.

The gathering will involve Commissioners of Police and higher-ranking officials, as well as other tactical commanders. It is emphasized that collective efforts are essential to provide adequate security for all citizens in Nigeria.
