Josh Groban initially wanted to pursue a careerin acting. He studied drama at the Los Angeles County College of Arts, graduating in 1999. However, when he discovered his talent for singing, he began taking music lessons during the summer holidays and studied musical theater at the Interlochen Center for Arts Camp in Michigan.
Groban then studied musical theater at Carnegie Mellon University, but dropped out after four months to take up an offer to record music with Warner Bros. through music producer David Foster’s 143 Records label.
