BIOGRAPHY
Joe Minoso joined his high school’s theater team and, the following year, auditioned for a role in a production of Dracula. He graduated from Adelphi University with a bachelor’s degree in fine arts and from Northern Illinois University with a master’s degree in fine arts. He worked extensively in theater before his television and film appearances. He was part of the cast at Chicago’s Vista Theater, the largest Latin theater company in the Midwest. In 2011, he starred in the political drama Boss and appeared in an episode of Shameless . Since 2012, Minoso starred in the NBC drama Chicago Fire , playing the role of Joe Cruz. During the first season of the series, his character was recurring, but from the second onwards he is part of the main characters. This led him to also appear in the derived series: Chicago PD (2014-) and Chicago Med (2016).
