American comedian, Joe Rogan, was visibly emotional as he discussed the passing of Chadwick Boseman.
Rogan was a guest on SiriusXM’s “Unlocking the Cage with Jimmy Smith” when the topic turned to Boseman’s death.
Expressing his dismay, Rogan commented on the unfairness of life, stating, “It sucks so hard that some a**holes live forever and some really cool people die young.”
He further exclaimed, “I just looked at the news and said, ‘F*ck!!!!'”. Adding, “Just instantly, ‘F*ck’. That guy was cool.”
Although it seemed that Rogan did not personally know Boseman, it was evident from the conversation that he held a great deal of respect for the “Black Panther” star.
He continued, “He was such a brilliant guy.”
Rogan acknowledged the impact of the movie “Black Panther” on the Black community and credited Boseman for portraying the lead role flawlessly.
Commenting on Boseman’s passing, Rogan was visibly struggling to contain his emotions. He remarked on Boseman’s strength in battling colon cancer privately for four years, stating, “It also speaks to his character that he suffered in silence like that and he didn’t make a big deal of the fact he was trying to get through cancer. It’s a bummer man.”
