Joseph Miceli Obituary, Death – Joseph A. Miceli, age 91, of Roselle Park, New Jersey, passed away in his home on Tuesday, December 9, 2014 after a long and happy life. On Friday, December 12, 2014 at 8:30 am, funeral services will take held at the Mastapeter Funeral Home, which is located at 400 Faitoute Avenue in Roselle Park. in 9:30 in the morning, a Funeral Mass is going to be held in the Church of the Assumption in Roselle Park. Graceland Memorial Park in Kenilworth is where the interment will take place.
Thursday evening visitation occurs from 5 to 8 o’clock. Joseph was born in Newark, although he spent his first 45 years of life in Roselle Park. Prior to working as a machinist for Airco Corp. in Union, where he retired after a good number of years, he was the proprietor of luncheonettes in Newark and Long Branch. Following his retirement, he took jobs as a security guard at Cosmair and in the seafood department of Kings Supermarket.
During World War II, Joseph served with honor in the United States Army. He was quite patriotic about his service.
His parents, Ferdinando and Domenica (nee: LaTorre) Miceli, as well as his brother Frank Miceli and sister-in-law Lillie Miceli, passed away before he was born. His devoted wife of 51 years, Cinzia (nee: Colosimo) Miceli, his two loving daughters and their spouses, Donna Agostino and her husband Joseph, II, and Sandra Lori Stark and her husband Robert, his dear sister Rosalie Ortelio and her husband Frank, and his five cherished grandchildren, Nicoletta, Joseph, III, and Victoria Agostino, and Nicholas and Matthew Stark, all survive him. He was preceded in death by his parents. In addition, the deceased’s nieces and nephews Fred, Karen, Fred, Anthony, and Steven, as well as their families, are still living.
