Kurt Schilling Obituary, Death – After the horrific deaths of their four children—Daniel, Fabian, Lilian (a 9th grade WFSD), and Daniela (a 4th grade WFSD)—in a car accident, Pastor Kurt Schilling and his wife Paulina’s world completely fell apart. The Waupaca County Sheriff’s Office got a report at 9:13 PM on December 16, 2023, regarding a pickup vehicle that was heading west in the eastbound lane on US Highway 10 in the town of Weyauwega. An eastbound SUV and a westbound pickup truck crashed head-on. The SUV was occupied by four persons.
Three individuals were declared dead on the spot, and one was taken to a hospital with serious injuries that might not have survived. Due to a serious injury, the pickup truck driver was sent to a hospital. It’s thought that alcohol played a role in the collision. Investigations into this crash are still ongoing. The Waupaca County Highway Department, Wisconsin State Patrol, Weyauwega Police Department,
Weyauwega Fire Department, Gold Cross Weyauwega, and Fremont Ambulance provided support to the Waupaca County Sheriff’s Office. Any amount, no matter how small, is greatly appreciated and will support the family during this trying time. Pastor Kurt and Paulina have provided assistance to a great number of people in need, and they are hope that the community will return the favor by helping them through this trying time.
