BIOGRAPHY
While his parents left Chile in 1973 because of the Coup d’Etat, Léonor Varela grew up successively in Costa Rica then in the United States, before arriving in France at the age of 14. She began studying theater after her baccalaureate and landed her first TV film Pony Trek in 1995. She obtained her first role in a film two years later, playing alongside Elodie Bouchez in Le Ciel est à nous . That same year, she filmed the TV film Inca de oro in Chile, which pushed her to want to start an international career.
Revealed in 1999 in the United States for her role as Cleopatra on the small screen, she then obtained several supporting roles in the cinema, such as in The Tailor of Panama and Blade II . In 2002, she returned to France to play the free Angela in Pas si grave by Bernard Rapp .
