Levi Meaden Bio

Levi Meaden was born on September 13, 1987 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and raised in Calgary, Alberta. In his interview with Upfront NY in October 2016, Levi revealed that he had an interest in acting at an early age and started performing at local theaters in Calgary.

Levi, at some point in his teenage years, quit acting but maintained an interest in entertainment. After high school, he ended up at the Center for Film Education in Prague, Czech Republic, where he studied writing and directing. While at school, Levi’s passion for acting was reignited by one of his teachers, Simon Howard.

Levi then returned to acting, making his screen debut in the 2009 short, Brotherly Love as written and directed by Marcus Schwenzel. After completing his studies in Czech, Levi moved to Vancouver where he started working for a production company. Director Roger Larry, owner of the production company Levi worked for, encouraged him to consider a full-time career.

Larry helped Levi find an agent and he began writing small roles in TV shows and short films. One of his early successes was in the 2012 live-action horror film 1313: Bigfoot Island. Levi would then appear on television shows like The Secret Circle, Behind the 8 Ball, and Almost Human

2014 was to become the breakthrough year for Meaden, who appeared on three huge TV shows. They understand; Almost Human, The Killing, and The 100. Up next was a recurring role on Olympus, iZombie, as well as a guest appearance on an episode of Legends of Tomorrow

His career received a huge boost after portraying Copeland’s oldest child, Matt Copeland, in the first season of the Canadian apocalyptic-survival series, Aftermath which aired on Syfy. Unfortunately, the show was canceled after its first season in 2016.

Levi then began to focus on the big screen. He had three films coming up in 2017 – War for the Planet of the Apes, Incontrol and A Lice in the Attic. The latter marked his first leading role in a film. He scored the role of cadet Ilya in the sequel Pacific Rim: Uprising

Levi Meaden was one of those low-key celebs until photos and news emerged that he had started dating hugely popular Ariel Winter in November 2016.

Although it is unknown how they met, speculations are that it could have been through a mutual friend. This mutual friend is believed to be Winter’s pal Sterling Beaumon who starred with Meaden in The Killing.

2. Meaden, a big animal lover, was a foster dog

Meaden frequently posts on his animal social media platforms. In 2016, during his interview with Upfront NY, he revealed that with his fellow housemates, he used to feed dogs. They would pick up the dogs from a slaughterhouse and take them in until a family came to pick them up.

3. He is a movie buff

Meaden has been a huge science fiction fan since childhood. His all-time favorite is Star Wars. He lost count of how many times he read the books and watched the movies.
