Lisa Hernandez is an American journalist currently working as a full-time 4:30 a.m to 7 a.m. broadcaster and news anchor/ reporter at an NBC affiliate, KPRC-TV in Houston, Texas since June 2020. Previously, she worked as a news anchor at KHOU 11, a CBS affiliate from October 2011 to January 2020.
Hernandez attended the University of California, Los Angeles graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Political science and Broadcasting journalism in 2001. Her elementary and high school educational background is still sketchy. However, she started her career a year after in 2002 as a morning show producer at KESQ, CBS Local 2, and KUNA in Palm Desert, California.
Nevertheless, she was also a morning reporter at News 14 Carolina in Charlotte, North Carolina for 11 months before accepting the position at KABC Channel 7 Eyewitness News in Glendale, California.
