He is best known as a one-time member and leader of 2 Live Crew, and star of his own show on VH1, Luke’s Parental Advisory. Campbell was involved in Campbell v. Acuff-Rose Music, Inc., which went to the US Supreme Court due to one of the group’s songs using a parody of Roy Orbison’s “Oh, Pretty Woman”.
