According to recent reports, World Cup-winning defender Raphael Varane is on the verge of joining Manchester United from Real Madrid.

Although there was a significant disparity in valuations between the two sides earlier last week, recent reports from Marca, Mirror, Sun, and Goal indicate that there has been substantial progress in reaching an agreement between Man Utd and Real Madrid.
Varane has been a key target for Manchester United this summer, following their acquisition of Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund. With only a year left on his contract with Real Madrid, Varane is keen to leave, and if negotiations are successful, he is expected to sign a five-year deal with Manchester United.
