BIOGRAPHY
At the age of 14, Manolo Cardona recorded his first commercial and went on to model on the Cali catwalk. He left the catwalks and moved to Bogotá at the age of 18, where he began studying Finance and International Relations. Later he returned to television, this time to act in soap operas: he debuted as an actor in Padres y Hijos in 1993, then continued with Carolina Barrantes (1998), where he got his first leading role in primetime, and finished affirming his popularity with his leading role. in Why the hell? (1999). In 2005 he jumped to the big screen with the film Rosario Tijeras , based on the book by Jorge Franco Ramos. In 2008 he created a film and television production company with his brothers Juancho and Francisco, whose debut film was El Cartel de los Sapos (2011). He acted in the Spanish version of Sin tetas no hay cielo (2009), and in American series such as Covert Affairs in 2013 and Netflix productions such as Narcos . In 2020 he is part of the stellar cast of Carlos Cuarón’s new film, Amalgama .
