A true definition of the triple threat, Marin’s Ireland has built an impressive body of theatre, film and television work during her acting career. Even more admirable is the fact that she achieved this feat in less than two decades of professional acting. Unsurprisingly, the American actress has also won a number of coveted awards from prestigious bodies.
An interesting thing about the actress is that she has no love for horror movies and seeing bloody things. In fact, she confessed that it makes her sick most of the time, she doesn’t see any horrible scenes, but that doesn’t rule out the possibility of starring in a horror movie one day.
Marin Ireland – Organic
The American actress was born in Camarillo, California on August 30, 1979. Her first name at birth was Marin Yvonne Ireland. She had her early education at the Idyllwild Arts Foundation in Idyllwild-Pine Cove, California, after which she headed to The Hartt School, the performing arts conservatory at the University of Hartford in West Hartford, Connecticut. There, she graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts upon graduation.
The year she graduated from college is not known, but Marin made her professional acting debut in theater in 2000. She later branched out into film and television, taking on roles in all three departments of the theater world.
Movies and TV series
Marin Ireland announced her presence in off-Broadway theater in 2001 with her appearance in Nocturne in which she also appeared when she performed in American Repertory Theater New Stages in 2000. Her theater debut on Broadway, however , were made in Reasons to be Pretty which earned her a Tony Award nomination, as well as a Theater World Award nomination. His other off-Broadway projects include Caryl Churchill in the Distance (2002), Sabina (2005), A Lie of the Mind (2010), and Killing the Floor (2015), among several others.
She made her film debut in 2004 with the role of an army transcriber in The Manchurian Candidate. Although small, her first film role earned her a plethora of others and in the first decade she played many roles in blockbuster films including Suburban Girl (2007), I Am Legend (2007), The Lining (2008), Rachel Getting Married (2008), The Loss of a Tearful Diamond (2008), and Brief Interviews with Hideous Men (2009).
The 2010s brought more opportunities for the actress, who was choosing roles. She was seen as Molly in Cordes d’espoir (2012) and went on to further guest appearances the same year in The Letter, The Stars in Shorts and Dance of the Sparrows. The actress earned an Independent Spirit Award nomination in the Best Supporting Woman category for her performance in Glass Chin in 2014.
In 2015, she played the role of Suzanne Crosby in Le croc de la famille and also appeared in a Franco-German drama film entitled Ce sentiment d’été. In 2016, she played Debbie Howard in Against the Odds followed by In the Radiant City as Laura Yurley the same year. His other film roles are The Strangers (2017), Aardvark (2017), Piercing (2018), The Miseducation of Cameron Post (2018), Light of Light (2019) and The Empty Man which is in post-production.
Before making her film debut, Marin Ireland appeared on television in 2003, in an episode of Law & Order: Criminal Intent as Anais Hutchinson and later as Laura Booth in 2006. She continued the spell in an episode in Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (2006), Law & Order (2008), The Good Wife (2011), and Prime Suspect in 2011. The spell was broken on the set of Homeland where she played Aileen Morgan in five episodes (2011-2012). Other series she has appeared in more than one episode include The Divide (2014), Masters of Sex (2014), The Slap (2015) andGirls (2015).
Although short, Marin Ireland will be remembered for his roles in other television series in his collection, including Unforgettable (2012), The Killing (2012-2014), Boss (2012), The Next (2013), Madam Secretary (2014) and Taurus (2018). She has been part of the cast of Sneaky Pete since 2015 as a series regular and so far has portrayed Julia Bowman in 30 episodes. She also has an upcoming American drama series titled Y. The series is expected in 2020.

Parents, husband or boyfriend
Apart from reports that she is close to her, Marin Ireland has not shared information about her parents, brothers and sister. Their names and current duties are not publicly known.
On a personal level, the actress is unmarried but has had a known relationship with fellow theater actor, Scott Shepherd. The two seemingly reunited on the set of a stage production of Troilus and Cressida, where they worked together in 2012. Their relationship started from there, but didn’t stand the test of time and led to a break.
Since then, no other men have been linked to Marin Ireland and she seems to be enjoying her single life.
