Julia Fiona Roberts was born on October 28, 1967, in Smyrna, Georgia. Her parents, Betty Lou Bredemus and Walter Grady Roberts, were both actors who encouraged their children to pursue careers in the performing arts. Julia’s siblings, Eric Roberts and Lisa Roberts Gillan are also actors.
However, Julia initially had no interest in acting and instead pursued a career as a veterinary technician.
