Nollywood actress Mide Martins and her husband, movie producer Afeez Owo, have issued a heartfelt apology to their colleague Wumi Toriola regarding an expensive error.

Last Tuesday, Wumi Toriola became a hot topic on social media after a video of her changing wigs in the midst of a scene went viral.

In the clip, Wumi Toriola was seen confronting her partner when an unexpected mishap occurred. Her wig was changed while she was still acting in the same scene.

The video generated mixed reactions, with many mocking the continuity manager and director for the mistake, while others made fun of the actress.

Taking to their Instagram story, Mide Martins and Afeez Owo, who were the producers of the movie, apologized to Wumi Toriola.

In a joint statement, they acknowledged that it was an expensive error made by the production crew during the editing stage.
“We sincerely apologize to actress Wumi Toriola for the error made by our editor in the movie ‘Ija’.

“Our attention has been drawn to the inconsistency in the wig and props used in one of the scenes involving Wunmi Toriola in our latest movie, IJA. We want to categorically state that the error was not Wunmi Toriola’s fault at all.

“Rather, it was a costly mistake made by the post-production crew during the editing stage (the editor).

“Our sincere apologies go out to Wunmi Toriola and all her fans. We appreciate your feedback, as it will help us to always be on our toes, knowing that our viewers expect the best from us.

Thank you.”

Afeez Owo apologises to Wumi Toriola over an expensive error from their post production crew

In other news, just recently, Wumi Toriola voiced her grievances about production managers in the Yoruba movie industry.

She pointed out that only in the Yoruba movie industry do production managers display nonchalant attitudes towards the cast and crew, and she encouraged her colleagues not to rely on feeding allowances from production managers for meals, as it would only lead to ulcers.

Wumi Toriola, who had an unpleasant experience on a movie set, emphasized that only she knows how her body feels and called out a specific production manager.

Furthermore, the Yoruba actress criticized producers for continuously assigning her violent roles in movies. While promoting one of her movies, the mother of one expressed her concerns about how these roles may affect her chances of finding love.
