The 26-year-old American model and the 29-year-old Canadian singer, who tied the knot in 2018, have drawn criticism for their starkly different fashion choices at public appearances.
In a GQ Hype interview, Hailey addressed the observations of their mismatched attires and shed light on their approach. She mentioned that Justin usually prepares for their outings first, which could explain the stark contrast between his casual looks and her more glamorous ensembles.
Hailey emphasized that their choices are not coordinated, stating, “We can’t sit there and be like, ‘So I’m going to wear this and you’re going to wear this.'” She also touched upon the pregnancy rumors that have circulated around them, expressing disappointment at the body-related comments she has encountered.
Hailey’s friend Kelia Moniz also weighed in on Justin’s fashion choices, defending his supportive role while acknowledging that Hailey’s style often takes the spotlight. Referring to an event where Hailey wore a Blumarine blazer dress and Justin opted for a hoodie and denim, the contrasting attire once again came into focus.
Addressing the pregnancy speculations, Hailey candidly remarked that she finds it disheartening to encounter such assumptions and to read opinions about her body. She expressed that it would be untrue to claim that she is unaffected by such scrutiny.
