Monte Halparin, a producer, singer, emcee, and sportscaster, was born on 25 August 1921, in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, of Jewish descent. He is best known for being the host of the game show “Let’s Make A Deal” and has hosted many other game shows. His various endeavors have contributed to his estimated net worth of $10 million as of late-2016, earned through his success in numerous interests, including radio, producing game shows, and guest appearances. He hosts a few shows as well as produced various game shows. He also became a radio analyst for the National Hockey League (NHL) team, the New York Rangers for the 1959 to 1960 season. Afterwards, he became the host of the game show “Video Village”, succeeding Jack Narz. He hosted the spinoff “Video Village Junior” before becoming the host of “Let’s Make a Deal”, which had syndicated runs throughout the 1970s and 1980s. Besides, he hosted the game show “Split Second” during its return in 1987. He also helped produce other game shows including “Chain Letter, “Masquerade Party” and “It’s Anybody’s Guess”. He also filled in for other hosts during his time on NBC, mostly working as a guest. In 2009, Hall became a creative consultant for the revival of “Let’s Make a Deal” hosted by Wayne Brady. He was the executive producer of the show, and initially appeared alongside Jay Stewart and Carol Merrill, and helped produce other game shows.
For his personal life, it is known that Hall married distant cousin Marilyn Doreen Plottel in 1947. They became citizens of the United States two years later, and have three children. They currently reside in Beverly Hills, California.
