The Nigerian Stock Exchange Limited had a positive start to the week, with the All-Share Index rising by 0.02 per cent to close at 72,404.91 points.

Monday’s trading figures indicated low turnover and volume, as investors are anticipated to finalize their accounts for the year.

The market cap closed at N39.621 trillion, with equities gaining N8.6 billion.

Trading volume increased to 324.25 million units, while trading value decreased to N4.40 billion from N6.57 billion on the previous Friday.

Notably, the top gainers were INFINITY, JOHNHOLT, TRANSCOHOT, SCOA, and FTNCOCOA, while the losers included ABCTRANS, ETRANZACT, RTBRISCOE, SOVRENINS, and NAHCO.

MBENEFIT, UBA, TRANSCORP, STERLINGNG, and ZENITHBANK led in terms of trading volume, while UBA, ZENITHBANK, MTNN, GTCO, and ACCESSCORP led in terms of value.

During the trading session, GTCO, ACCESSCORP, ZENITHBANK, and FBNH saw price declines, while UBA recorded a price gain.
