Recovering from injury, Super Eagles forward Taiwo Awoniyi has received positive news from Nottingham Forest manager, Steve Cooper.
Last month, Awoniyi aggravated a groin injury while on international duty, and he underwent surgery, delaying his return to action until next year.
Cooper mentioned that the 26-year-old is making good progress and maintaining a positive mindset despite the setback.
Discussing Awoniyi’s long-term injury, Cooper stated, “He is making good progress, but it will be a while before he can return to playing.”
He added, “Despite not liking being injured, he is mentally staying positive.”
With four goals in 10 league appearances this season, Awoniyi has been a key player for Forest.
