In the opinion of Manchester United legend, Paul Scholes, the Red Devils will see improvements once two ‘experienced and quality’ stars, Christian Eriksen and Casemiro, recover from their injuries.
Scholes also acknowledged that he believes the rest of the Man United squad are ‘not good enough’.
Man United’s form has been poor this season, currently occupying the sixth position on the Premier League table and sitting 10 points off leaders Liverpool.
Speaking to TNT Sports, Scholes expressed, “I can’t remember one good result this season. The wins were against teams you’d expect to beat. It is not those games that define Man United players; it is big games.”
He added, “I think when Christian Eriksen and Casemiro return [from injury], that will make them a lot more relaxed. It will add a lot more experience and quality. I’m hoping when those two come back, things will improve for ten Hag, but in terms of challenging for big trophies, I don’t think this squad is good enough.”
