The Placer County Sheriff's Office arrested two people for human trafficking during a week that also saw them participating in a statewide human trafficking enforcement operation.

According to a post on their Facebook page, a victim of human trafficking reached out to the Sheriff's Office last week.

The victim said two people had been trafficking her for sex.

PCSO detectives worked the case with the help of the Sacramento County Sheriff's Office and arrested two suspects, identified as 23-year-old Marvin Green and 25-year-old Heidy Santamaria.

Both suspects were charged with forcing the victim into prostitution.

The PCSO was also one of more than 95 federal, state, and local agencies across California to participate in Operation Reclaim and Rebuild last week.

That operation was targeted at combating human trafficking in the state. It saw 539 arrests and 65 rescues statewide in the course of a week.
