Discussing his choice to agree to Ian Maatsen’s loan departure from Chelsea in January, manager Mauricio Pochettino shared his perspective.
Maatsen is set to join Borussia Dortmund on loan until the season’s end.
Pochettino, in a briefing with reporters on Friday, underscored that the decision benefits the Blues.
He stated, “It’s beneficial for the club and Maatsen. I hope he gets more playing time there. It’s a positive decision for all parties involved.”
The Dutch youth international marked his Premier League debut last August.
This season, Maatsen has appeared in 12 league matches.
