Allegedly, Kanye West and his wife Bianca Censori got married for ‘religious reasons’ after he pledged to refrain from s3x until marriage following his divorce from Kim Kardashian.
As per a source speaking to Us Weekly on Tuesday, the couple had a legal marriage due to their desire to “be intimate.”
According to the insider, “Kanye and Bianca were legally married last year when they had their private ceremony in Beverly Hills, it was real and legal.”
Describing their relationship, the source further added that Kanye sees Bianca as his muse and enjoys dressing her up. The source also mentioned that the 46-year-old Grammy winner is ‘very much ‘in love’ and ‘inspired’ by his 28-year-old spouse.
The confusion surrounding their secretive marriage has been cleared up, with reports confirming that the couple tied the knot under a ‘confidential marriage’ license in California, which means it was not made public record.
Prior reports had suggested that the rapper’s marriage was not legally binding, claiming that they had a private ceremony in Beverly Hills without an official marriage license earlier in January this year.
However, DailyMail verified the authenticity, having obtained and reviewed the official document that lists their date of marriage as December 20, 2022, just a month after Kanye finalized his divorce from Kardashian in November 2022.
According to their marriage license, the couple got married in Palo Alto, California, and the location of the event was kept secret.
The document was filed under their full names, Bianca Censori, and ‘Ye’ for the rapper, who legally changed his name from Kanye Omari West to the mononym in October 2021.
Their officiant was James Mayfield, a California-based individual who offers marriage ‘packages’ starting at $385 and does not require a courthouse ceremony. It is also stated on his website that a confidential marriage license does not necessitate any witnesses to be present. Their marital home is listed as Kanye’s ranch in Wyoming.
Kanye had purchased the sprawling $14m ranch four years ago, and there has been minimal development on the property since then.
Explaining the reason for opting for a confidential marriage license, a close friend of the couple disclosed: “Ye has been a megastar for two decades and counting, and his first marriage was to someone who lives almost full time in front of a camera.
“Bianca and Ye have a totally different vibe. They are very private, very affectionate, and totally devoted to each other. I think they both enjoy carving out time that’s just for them.
“For that reason, they’ve been extremely hush-hush about the specifics of their wedding day. I don’t think anyone besides the pair of them know exactly how it went down.
The close friend added: “They are besotted with each other. I can assure you they are very much married.”
Statistics reveal that one in five marriages in California are now officially classified as ‘confidential’ and do not appear in public records, yet they are legally binding marriages requiring a divorce if the union were to end.
Kim filed for divorce from Kanye after almost seven years of marriage in February 2021. Kanye then moved on with Bianca, even dedicating the track “Censori Overload” to her.
In the lyrics, Kanye revealed that he stayed celibate before getting married, singing: “And The Bible said, I can’t have any more s3x ’til marriage.”
The song seemed to allude to his split from Kim, with opening lines referencing a text message and the impact of media scrutiny on their relationship.
Kanye and Bianca made their romance public in January.
