In the near future, former Liverpool forward Robbie Fowler suggests that Brighton and Hove Albion boss Roberto De Zerbi could be the successor to Jurgen Klopp at Anfield. Fowler insists that Klopp holds De Zerbi in high regard, with his contract at Liverpool set to expire in 2026.

Over the past year, De Zerbi’s team has garnered praise from prominent figures in European football for their bold and attacking style of play. Among his admirers is Klopp, who spoke highly of the Italian after their teams’ 2-2 draw at the Amex Stadium in October, stating that De Zerbi ‘should not be underestimated’.

Fowler believes that due to Klopp’s admiration for De Zerbi, the Italian could be lined up to take over from Klopp at Liverpool in the coming years. “He’s so rated by Klopp, I wouldn’t be surprised if the Liverpool manager saw him as a natural successor,” said Fowler, as reported by The Mirror football.
