Robbie Savage, a former Manchester United star, has made his prediction for the upcoming UEFA Champions League clash between the Red Devils and Bayern Munich.

The highly-anticipated Group A match will take place at Old Trafford on Tuesday night, with Man United hosting Bayern Munich.

As it stands, Erik ten Hag’s side find themselves at the bottom of Group A in the Champions League, having accumulated just four points from five games.

Having only secured one victory, one draw, and suffered three defeats in the Champions League this season, the Red Devils are in urgent need of a win against the Bundesliga champions to increase their chances of progressing to the Round of 16.

Offering his insight, Savage stated (via Planet Sport): “Manchester United’s track record against Bayern in European competitions is not particularly favorable, with just two wins out of 12. However, the 2-1 win in 1999 was a significant one.

“I believe they will need heroes and an extraordinary performance to advance. Considering their 3-0 loss at home to Bournemouth over the weekend, this is a crucial game for them.

“My prediction is for Harry Kane to score, but I anticipate Bayern Munich will emerge victorious. I simply think they will outperform Manchester United. My prediction is a 3-1 win for Bayern.”
