BIOGRAPHY
Canadian actor Rossif Sutherland studied philosophy at Princeton University. He debuted as an actor in a short film he directed while a student at Princeton University after his lead actor didn’t show up on the first day of filming. Encouraged by his father, actor Donald Sutherland, Rossif studied acting with Harold Guskin in New York, before making his professional debut in Richard Donner’s Timeline (2003) as a young French archaeologist. His first leading role was in Clement Virgo’s Poor Boy’s Game (2007). The following years he appeared in several television series, and from 2013 he played the role of Nostradamus in the American historical fantasy television series Reign . In 2015 he starred in the independent film River , for which he received a Canadian Screen Award nomination in 2016. We will soon see him in La Huérfana: El Origen (2022), a prequel to La huérfana (2009).
